Senior Technician (Molecular Biology) / Research Assistant

Job Description

Key Duties:

– Coordinate research projects by providing clerical and operational support
– Prepare various types of sequencing libraries in house; plan, execute, and document laboratory work.
– Operate and troublshoot automated liquid handling method for NGS library preparation
– Conduct genomic DNA extraction, PCR, real-time PCR and generate daily NGS report including bioinformatics analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize NGS workflows
– Perform additional ad-hoc duties as necessary
Requirements:

– Bachelor degree or higher in biomedical or biological sciences (biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, bioinformatics) or other related disciplines
– Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
– Applicant with Master or Doctoral degree will be considered as Research Associate/Research Scientist position
– Strong communication & written skills in both Chinese and English
– Ability to multitasks and maintain attention to detail
– Willingness to work in an agile environment
Good-to-have:

– Experience in qPCR data analysis / bioinformatics analysis (on-the-job training will be provided)
– Fluent in spoken & written English is a plus
– General knowledge in gut microbiome
