Job Description
Responsibilities
Provide design management services and project implementation to rolling stock related projects, improvement works, innovation & technology projects including procurement, engineering support and system design review, etc. to ensure timely and quality delivery
Coordinate and execute detailed design and provide technical support for rolling stock engineering and related innovation and technology engineering works, including project design management and review of train-borne system designs
Drive and conduct system design with internal and external designers to ensure related operation & maintenance requirement, safety requirement, essential railway standards and statutory requirements are met
Participate in the support and testing and commissioning activities of new rolling stock projects and related innovation & technology projects
Conduct technical and incident investigations with preparing reports on studies and conclusion on technical findings with recommendations
Provide technical support service in maintaining the design and technical standards on railway systems for upkeeping the latest developments and best practices in engineering
Keep abreast of new technology and conduct feasibility study, test and trial, development and implementation of application solutions for driving continuous improvement in rolling stock and interfacing railway systems
Undertake technical evaluation and testing, prepare resources estimates and other supporting documents required for smart maintenance or smart operations related to rolling stock engineering and related interfacing systems
Requirements
Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Communications / Computer / Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
A minimum of 8 years of rolling stock related experience, of which 2 years should be at supervisory or managerial level
Possession of Corporate Membership of a professional institution is preferred
Experience in implementation of rolling stock and Innovation & Technology projects
Sound knowledge of railway maintenance / operations
Strong analytical mindset, project management and organisation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin)
Remarks
Business travel may be required
