OFFICE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Analyst Programmer / Senior Analyst Programmer (Mobile & Web Application / Artificial Intelligence) (23241064)

Reporting to the Senior Information Technology Manager, the appointee will be assisting in the development and support of different web systems and mobile app implementations for the University.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development of web and mobile applications with a dedicated team of developers;
Perform ongoing systems monitoring, maintenance, and support;
Assist in feasibility study, PoC/technical demonstration, documentation, testing, training and deployment to fulfil the business requirements and target outcomes; and
Perform other IT projects and assignments as assigned.
Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline;
At least 4 – 5 years’ work experience with a focus on software development and system integration in ONE of the following:Web development technology like HTML 5, PHP, Java, React, Javascript, and Node.js
Mobile app technology like React Native;
Good knowledge of ANY of the followings:Agile development, DevOps, Docker and Kubernetes
API and Microservices architecture;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
Possess solid written and verbal communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences, and strong commitment-to-task; and
Fast learner with can-do attitude, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Analyst Programmer.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years.  Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
