Job Description
The Division of Life Science is seeking several energetic and organized candidates to fulfil the Research Assistant positions.
The appointee will be responsible for assisting in research projects investigating the basic biology of skeletal muscle regeneration and performing general laboratory duties as assigned by the team leader. The appointee will also assist in experiments including animal surgery, biochemical assays and histology.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in biology, biochemistry or related areas. Relevant work experience in biology/biochemistry laboratories, knowledge of laboratory animal husbandry and adult stem cell biology will be an asset, but training can be provided if needed. This would be a perfect opportunity for those wishing to pursue a career in stem cell research. The appointee is expected to work independently in a thriving team environment, have strong interpersonal skills, as well as fluency in English and Cantonese.
